STANDARD CELLS FOR ALKALI METALS (Na, K, Rb, Cs)
These cells are cylindrical in shape and are made of pyrex glass. Diameter is 25 mm; length is 25, 40, 50, or 75 mm. Tipoff stem in center of cell ending about 12 mm from cell body. Windows are optical quality pyrex, optically contacted normal to cell axis. Buffer gas can be added at a small extra charge. Tipoff stem length may also be modified at no extra charge. Shipment of standard 75-mm cells is usually from stock, but may take up to three weeks. Delivery of 25,40, or 50-mm cells about three weeks. We can also supply cells with A/R coatings on the window exteriors. Cells with A/R coatings in stock are shown on price schedule.
STANDARD CELLS FOR IODINE
These cells are commonly used for calibration of tunable lasers in the 500-675 nm range. They are cylindrical in shape and are made of quartz. Diameter is 25 mm; length 100 mm. Tipoff stem in center of cell ending about 25 mm from cell body. The tipoff stem can be used to control the vapor pressure of iodine in the cell by cooling. However, the cell is normally operated at room temperature. Windows are optical quality quartz, optically contacted normal to cell axis. Cell is supplied either by itself or together with CNRS spectral atlas. Shipment usually from stock, but may take up to three weeks.
STANDARD CELLS FOR ISOTOPIC TELLURIUM 130
These cells are used for calibration of tunable lasers in the 420-540 nm range. They are cylindrical in shape and are made of quartz. Diameter is 25 mm; length 100 mm. Tipoff stem in center of cell ending about 12 mm from cell body. Cell must be heated to about 550°C to obtain proper vapor pressure of Te. Heater is not supplied by Opthos. Cell is supplied either by itself or together with CNRS spectral atlas. Tipoff may be altered according to user specifications. Shipment usually from stock.
We now offer "square" cells; quartz; 10x10x30 mm or 10x10x60 mm with four clear sides. These cells can be filled with iodine, rare gases, or Rb, Cs. We also offer a "square" cell, either pyrex or quartz, 10x10x45 mm with five clear sides. This cell in pyrex can be filled with K and Na, as well. Other fillings could be considered under proper usage conditions (such as low temperature applications).
Opthos can also supply isotopic Rb cells and cells of other lengths and diameters. Cells can also be made with pure gases and gas mixtures. Also mercury (either natural or isotopic) fillings. We will be glad to quote according to your specifications.
